Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. II

Disney/Marvel sure knows how to entertain! If you are a fan of the original Guardians of the Galaxy, then you will absolutely love Guardians of the Galaxy Volume II. In fact, I think it is up there with one of the best comic book movies ever made!
Not only is this movie full of typical Marvel goodness, but it also contains a ton of heart and emotion…Not to mention the hilarity throughout! I will not say too much as to spoil it for everyone, but suffice to say, the movie is also chocked full of Easter eggs, hidden gems, and cameos that you true comic book aficionados will notice. Also, be sure to stay in your seats for several “chaser” scenes after it is over.
The premise of the sequel is the origin of Star-Lord’s (Chris Pratt) father and why he disappeared, etc.. The regular cast from the original is back and is as good as ever. It’s just the right mix of humor and action packed adventure as seen from the opening credits.
The story also builds the personal relationships of the cast and it’s a nice change of pace from the original as we see a more sincere side of the heroes. (Not to mention, Baby Groot (Voiced by Vin Diesel) is the most adorable thing ever!

I have no doubt that this will make tons of money and be the first real blockbuster of 2017. It might be a bit on the raunchy side at times for real little ones, but overall a truly entertaining movie!

Solid 9/10.
