A Dog’s Purpose

A Dog’s Purpose

As an ardent dog lover, I was anxiously awaiting this movie to come out. The story is a tad over the top and contrived, but still very sweet and watchable.(Yes, I even teared up a time or two!)

It’s the story of Bailey a Retriever who finds himself living and dying several times (in a cat with nine lives sort of way) only to find himself waking up and starting over life in the body of a different breed of dog every time. He’s constantly pondering the meaning or “purpose” in each life and is always learning and experiencing the many different struggles and adventures that abound as he goes along. (Think Highlander for dogs without the sword fighting.)

In the end, it’s a really sweet story of man and his best friend and a fun insight to a dog’s mind. Oh, and I am also a sucker for old man Dennis Quaid movie roles!

Despite all of the recent filming controversy(which I detested watching), I did find the movie to be very entertaining to watch and truly heartwarming. In fact, I couldn’t wait to get home to hug my own puppy!

This is a good one for the family and a sweet 7 out of 10.

This is the fourth remake of this movie and by far the best. Movie chemistry is a term that is thrown around loosely these days and Lady Gaga (Ally) and Bradley Cooper (Jackson Maine) have probably the most honest, intense, and magical chemistry together that I have seen in a long time! In...

Sicario: Day of the Soldado

Ok so let me begin by saying that I am a fan of the original Sicario film, which really made me look forward to this piece of a series. I never expected the original to be as successful as it was and by the looks of it neither did the makers. You can see that throughout this film.   Sicario...

As a lover of "The Office", let me begin by saying..."JIM made that???" Yes John's Krasinszki's directorial debut is off with a bang. Although he has a couple of films under his belt, this is by far the one that puts him on the honor list. The kinds of horror films that impact me the most...
