Furious 7
What do you expect after 6 already successful Fast and Furious movies? Well of course the 7eventh success. Furious 7 directed by James Wan the first time director for this series has done a fair job for the movie. It was not only all about Dom’s (Vin Diesel) Family in the movie but also about the brother hood of Owen Shah and the big bad brother Deckard Shaw.
The film has everything expected by the viewers after going through the entire 6 previous installments; the story has a solid material with some stunning action packed performances. First time ever it looked like Dominic Toretto has faced an opposition perfect to his standard of appearance and up to his volatile voice, by now you must have understood that it’s Jason Statham we are talking about. Though we are not denying the exquisite and ‘you can’t afford to blink your eye’ fighting sequence in Fast Five between Vin Diesel and Dwayne The Rock Johnson.
Furious 7 is more of the ego clash of two characters who are willing to risk anything for their family (Considering the Shaw brothers a family too), as an audience you will at times find it tough to take sides, though the story makes you believe that it’s a fight between good and evil but you will be in a dilemma to decide who is who?
The movie goes exceedingly well with all the hi fi standard of action, cars, speed, and great fighting sequences though the girl fighting is not up to the mark. There are fair chances of you being a little disappointed after seeing it as it doesn’t look real at all and not even justified in the direction.
It has garnered more attention due to Jason Statham’s presence, which by all means has been appropriate as it was him who brought up the curiosity that what will happen next. Director James Wan knew that the key to make this movie successful is through action and that is the reason Thailand’s superstar Tony Jaa ( Ong Bak Series ) has made his Hollywood debut with this opportunity.
You will have all the fun with Furious 7 and will come out satisfied and also with the patience to wait for the 8th installment expecting slightly more of what you saw in Furious 7. This movie is worth a watch and you might prefer to watch it again and again. Furious 7 has been recorded with the highest grossing of the year 2015 so far and still counting and you will know the reason for it once you watch it.
Filmmaniacs will give it 8 stars out of 10.
