Captain Marvel

I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised by Captain Marvel and the way Marvel handled this origin film. This film was necessary to be told now as it sets up the upcoming Avengers Endgame movie and prepares the Marvel Cinematic Universe for greater things beyond.

This films stars Brie Larson in the role of Captain Marvel aka Carol Danvers who finds herself being trained as a Kree warrior after the Kree find and rescue her from a plane crash on earth. She has many flashbacks to her time on Earth but cannot remember much at all. As luck would have it, she crash lands back on earth during a failed Kree mission and we basically follow her adventure as she finds out about her past and her true identity.

Marvel did a great job telling the story of not only Carol Danvers, but also the beginning story of Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) and Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg). Marvel fans will definitely LOVE seeing why an how Nick Fury wears an eye patch!

No spoilers here so I will just say that there is a lot of great action and special effects for sure and Brie Larson shows just how powerful her character can be. It’s a very entertaining watch and we are anxiously awaiting Avengers Endgame now!
