As a kid growing up, I was glued to Godzilla movies (and the cartoon) almost every weekend.  So, when I saw that Godzilla would be in a film again with Mothra, Rodan, etc…I couldn’t wait!  This being said, fans of straight up monster vs monster mayhem will love this iteration for sure.  Yes, the plot ..

Godzilla: King of the Monsters

As a kid growing up, I was glued to Godzilla movies (and the cartoon) almost every weekend.  So, when I saw that Godzilla would be in a film again with Mothra, Rodan, etc…I couldn’t wait!  This being said, fans of straight up monster vs monster mayhem will love this iteration for sure.  Yes, the plot is very suspect, but the  characters are at least a tad bit interesting(But really, does that even matter?)  This is a fun summer blockbuster that caters to monster fans and sets up the long awaited King Kong vs Godzilla movie next year.

As a movie critic – 4/10

As a Godzilla fan- 8/10
