If you are watching this movie for a great concert experience, you will leave happy. If you are watching it for a full biopic on Jackson’s life, you will be severely disappointed. The good…the two actors that played Jackson (Jaafar Jackson and Juliano Krue Valdi) were great as was Colman Domingo who plays the villainous role of Joe Jackson.
The bad – Pretty much the other half of Michael’s controversial and not so glamourous life. In fact, this movie pretty much glorifies Jackson from start to finish with almost no negative connectivity whatsoever.
Jackson fans will love the hit music, strong performances, and behind the scenes looks at the virtuoso musician, but others will leave the theatre very empty that more of his story was not told. A movie that simply feels half done.
