Kandahar
Kandahar- Buckle your seatbelts and get ready for a ride. This film is a fantastic look at the struggles that the world faces in the middle east. The film does an amazing job at showing all angles of the struggles of life in this region of the world. I was lucky enough to take part in a Q&A with the director Ric Roman Waugh after watching the film. He was so passionate about this project and how he wanted to make sure it was authentic and real. He used tons of experts from the CIA, military and government to make sure this film was as accurate as possible. He also mentioned that this was the first film made in Saudi Arabia in nearly 70 years, which is really incredible. The film is a true action packed adventure, but what sets it apart are the emotions you feel for every character. Even the “bad guys” have families too and you see that side in this film. This is a must see film and one you really need to see on the big screen. Very little of this film was done using CGI, so all the crashes, explosions and chases are very real. Score 7 out of 10.
