Wakanda Forever

Wakanda Forever is a pretty quick 2 hour and 41 minute movie if you can imagine that! There is a whole lot fun and surprises in this on for sure! The story picks up with the death of King T’Challa (The Black Panther.) There are several themes fluent throughout the movie, but none more apparent than accepting and coping with grief.

The story also introduces a good/bad guy in Namor played by Tenoch Huerta. He is the leader of an undersea version of Wakanda and once threatened to be discovered by Americans, all hell breaks loose. Letitia Wright (Shuri and the Princess of Wakanda) really took her acting and performance up a notch and is not to be missed. (I am also not just playing favorites since she was born in Georgetown, Guyana like myself.) Her interactions with her mother (Queen Ramonda played by Angela Bassett) are pretty intense and some of the best acting scenes in a Marvel movie.

All in all, the action and storyline is superb. I do think the ending action scene was a bit of a give up or an attempt to please the masses, but the mid credit tag scene more than makes up for it!

This is a hard one to not give out spoilers, but I will just say that Disney/Marvel needed a great movie and they got one here! Very enjoyable and recommended.
