Wonder Woman

FINALLY! We have another great movie from the DC Universe!

I have to admit that with the awful track record that DC has had lately, I was really hoping that Wonder Woman would take a whole fresh take on the comic book genre and I was pleasantly surprised! I have no doubt that by having Patty Jenkins direct this movie, it brought about something different – a woman’s view into a man’s genre.(And it was much needed.)

It was refreshing to see the hostile mood and tone of a sci fi action film blended with the sensitivity, naivete, humor, and heart of the well written script. Also, the chemistry between all of the characters is very good and believable.(Something usually missing in these types of movies.)

This movie will propel Gal Gadot (Diana/Wonder Woman) to super stardom as she plays the role of innocent girl turned superhero to perfection! She beautifully transforms from soft and quiet, to clumsy and funny, to overall badass villain slaying Wonder Woman without missing a beat!

Diana’s love interest Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) is the perfect costar and at times he evens steals the show.

I know the plot was kept under wraps pretty tightly and so I won’t go into it and spoil anything for our readers, but just know that you are in for a treat and I can’t wait to see Wonder Woman back in action in the upcoming Justice League movie!

A solid 9/10.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
